Vegan Chocolate Donuts 🍩

Happy Valentines Day!!

I saw this recipe yesterday on "Giada at Home" and HAAADDDD to make them for LOVE DAY!

These are super simple to make and I hope you ❤️ them

Here is what you need:

  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • 1 TBSP ground flax
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1/4 cup grape seed oil (or canola will work just fine)
  • 1/3 cup agave
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup cake flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1/3 cup mini vegan chocolate chips

Chocolate glaze:

  • 1/2 cup mini vegan chocolate chips
  • 1 TBSP grape seed or canola oil
  • Sprinkles! For decorating

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  • Spray donut pan with non stick spray
  • In a smallbowl combine the ground flax with 2 TBPS of water and let it stand for 2 minutes to thicken
  • Add all wet ingredients and whisk to combine
  • In another bowl combine all the dry ingredients and stir together
  • Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until well combined
  • Stir the chocolate chips in with a spatula
  • Use a small cookie scoop or spoon and drop 2-3 heaping TBSP of better into each donut fold, filling about 2/3rds full
  • bake the donuts until puffed up (about 10-12 min)

For the Chocolate Glaze:

  • Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave in 30 second intervals or over a double broiler
  • Stir in the oil until the chocolate is smooth
  • Dip each donut, top side down into the glaze; allow excess to drip off, then decorate with sprinkles!
  • Chill the donuts in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to allow the glaze to set
